Responsibilities

E Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Able to set up, adjust (sizes and speeds) and troubleshoot packaging and production equipment such as (but not limited to):
    • Coding machines – code wheels, ink jets, etc.
    • Tape machines
    • Check weighers - programming
    • Bar code scanners – programming
    • Stretch packers
    • Glue systems
  • Work with Production to coordinate timely line change-over.
  • Manage time to anticipate production needs and eliminate down time.
  • Complete paperwork required for line set-up: lock-out/tag-out, start-up inspection, check maintenance documentation, etc.
  • Identify possible mechanical problems and report them to the Maintenance Lead.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required by company PM program.
  • Adherence to all Company policies and procedures
  • Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions
  • Instills a sense of quality through modeled quality behaviors and mindset
  • Elevates complaints and problems, seeks Management assistance
  • Ensures proper PPE’s and Safety procedures are followed

Flexibly works other shifts, shifts maybe 8, 10 or 12 hours as needed

Qualifications

K Knowledge & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine repairs, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
  • Able to read technical documents.
  • The ability to work independently, without supervision required
  • Ability to organize priorities and workload required
