Position Summary:   The Project Manager works on designated projects assigned by the Director of Engineering.  Responsible for planning, administering, and executing projects within engineering and pertinent cross-functional teams This position works with all supervision and employees to ensure that cGMPs and Praxis SOPs, policies and work instructions are being followed.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Manage company projects both active, future and through transition to sustaining engineering or operations.
    • Meet with project stakeholders to define scope and clarify specific requirements of each project.
    • Assemble technical and operational project team members, coordinating activities, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of a project.
    • Leads cross-functional groups through project implementation.
    • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
    • Able to grasp concepts required to understand the overall project scope, and to communicate effectively with project team members, end users and external resources.
    • Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
    • Assist staff in determining project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
    • Assist staff to determine product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
    • Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
    • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals, on-time and on budget.
    • Resolve problems that compromise project deadlines.
    • Ensure resources availability and allocations.
    • Controls project costs by making adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
    • Ensure comprehensive project plans and supporting performance and status reports are readily available for project owners.
    • Implement and maintain project database that supports organizational needs.
    • Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures
    • Addresses complaints and problems, elevates to Leadership when needed
    • Ensure proper PPE’s and Safety procedures are followed
    • Instills a sense of quality through modeled quality behaviors and mindset
    • Flexibly to work across shifts, maybe 8, 10 or 12 hours as needed.

 Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary while maintaining compliance, any activity is to be in concert with Operation, not to impede or obstruct them and efficient operation of Praxis Packaging Solutions.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, required or equivalent combination
    • 3 years’ experience of project management or equivalent certifications and technical expertise
    • Certified Project Management Professional preferred
    • Experience in managing various levels of employees with different educational backgrounds, work style habits, and employment histories.
    • Previous experience with packaging company or similar regulated industry, preferred.

Computer/Communication Skills:

    • Working knowledge of MS Project or equivalent required
    • Working knowledge of MS Office programs: Word, Excel and Outlook, preferred
    • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) related software, preferred
    • Ability to present training topics to small or medium sized groups
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Normal office environment with little exposure to dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (i.e., cold, hot/humid). Will require visits to production area – where employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (cold, hot/humid). Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch. Raise and lower an object from one level to another, less than 50 lbs. Good (corrected) eyesight and hand/eye coordination

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
