Position Summary:    This position works closely within the Engineering group coordinating projects and managing equipment selection and installation and executing regular equipment protocols and for new product launches. This position works with all supervision and employees to ensure that cGMPs and Praxis SOPs, policies and work instructions are being followed.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Supports new packaging and processing equipment and product launches.
    • Schedule and complete Equipment Qualifications.
    • Assembles a technical and operational project team, ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Arranging, planning, managing, and executing installations, operations, and performance qualifications.
    • Assists with technical writing needed for the Engineering group.
    • Provides technical assistance in installation and maintenance of equipment.
    • Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
    • Maintains documentation for equipment specifications, works closely with the Validation Engineer.
    • Establish equipment set up efficiency and procedures.
    • Work with management to identify new and continuous process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
    • Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
    • Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
    • Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions.
    • Addresses complaints and problems, elevates to Leadership when needed.
    • Ensures proper PPE’s and Safety procedures are followed.
    • Instills a sense of quality through modeled quality behaviors and mindset.
    • Flexibly works other shifts, shifts maybe 8, 10 or 12 hours as needed.

 

Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of Praxis Packaging Solutions.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or other related technical field, required or equivalent combination
    • 3+ years Manufacturing experience required, additional experience preferred.
    • Experience working in packaged goods and assembly environment strongly preferred.
    • Engineering and project management team experience required, preferably in a regulated environment. cGMP, OTC or pharmaceutical preferred
    • Experience in managing various levels of employees with different educational backgrounds, work style habits, and employment histories.
    • Hands on experience working with/installing equipment required, ideally related to packaging.
    • Successful candidate will be action oriented and a true self starting doer.
    • Salaried role with range of: $80k-$110k

 

Computer/Communication Skills:

    • Working knowledge of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred
    • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) related software, preferred
    • Ability to present training topics to small or medium sized groups
    • Ability to speak and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, and customers:  to include reading and writing skills to understand and complete necessary customer paperwork, required

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Normal office environment with little exposure to dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (i.e., cold, hot/humid). May also require visits to the production area – where employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (cold, hot/humid).  Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch.  Raise and lower an object from one level to another, less than 10 lbs.  Good (corrected) eyesight and hand/eye coordination. Must be able to work full time. 8, 10, or 12 hours, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

Pay Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
